Dr. Antu Radhakrishnan is a native of Chicago, IL.  After graduation from the The University of Chicago, he worked several years in the veterinary field before starting veterinary school at the University of Georgia.  After receiving his DVM degree, he completed a rotating intership in medicine and surgery followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is board-certified in internal medicine and sees referrals for various problems as they relate to the internal organ systems.  Dr. Radhakrishnan is published both nationally and internationally and has lectured at numerous local, state, and national meetings including the symposiums for the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.  His main clinical interests are minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopy and endoscopy, and lower urinary tract diseases.  When he is not seeing patients he enjoys spending time with his family and watching or playing soccer.

Internal medicine services:

• Evaluation of any and all internal organ systems including: gastrointestinal, liver, spleen, urinary tract, respiratory tract, cardiovascular system, neurology, infectious diseases
• Oncology evaluation and treatment
• Upper GI endoscopy (gastroduodenoscopy)
• Lower GI endoscopy (colonoscopy)
• Rhinoscopy (endoscopy of nasal cavities, throat)
• Bronchoscopy (endoscopy of airways)
• Cystoscopy (endoscopy of urinary tract)
• Laparoscopy (endoscopy through 5 mm incision to evaluate internal organs)
• Urethral stents (to open narrowed or blocked urethra)
• Tracheal stents (to open narrowed or blocked trachea)
• Laser ablation of ectopic ureters and bladder tumors
• I-131 therapy for hyperthyroid cats (to be available late summer 2010)
